The Wax Chandlers’ Bee Farming Apprenticeships are sponsored by Rowse Honey and the Bee Farmers’ Association and supported by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). 31 trainees have been placed during the first five years of the scheme.
Those successfully completing the three-year programme are awarded a Diploma in Excellence in Bee Farming by the Worshipful Company of Wax Chandlers.
Congratulations to Sam Burnham and Phoebe Lamb on the completion of their apprenticeships in autumn 2018 and to Ollie Pont, Gruffudd Tomos and Stuart Weekes who completed their apprenticeships in September 2019.

The Bee Farmers are also developing a 3 year Adult Training Programme to be delivered across the country.
