LCAS would also provide ongoing management to:

  • Check that apprentices are generating evidence for assessments
  • Support assessors with assessment recording
  • Support assessors/users in using the reporting features for monitoring apprentices
  • Monitor apprentices’ progress and achievement

On completion LCAS would issue:

  • Final achievement accreditation, certification and archiving of accounts.

The costs for providing this service for existing apprenticeships will be:

  • One-year apprenticeship – £225 per apprentice.
  • Three-year apprenticeship – £530 per apprentice.

OneFile is a leading learning and development platform that brings training and assessment together – allowing users to track their entire learning journey from initial enrolment to end-point assessment.

LCAS uses the OneFile cloud-based eportfolio management and assessment software to monitor apprentices across the country.

Winner of a Queen’s Award for Innovation in 2017, OneFile used LCAS as a case study featuring one of our apprentices.

“I would like to praise all concerned in this scheme (Bee Farming Apprenticeship). It has been particularly suited to apprentices in a rural environment.”

David Mortlock

“I believe the LCAS has created a spark of hope for the future of the Craft/Trade.  It has given the opportunity for Wheelwrights to pass on their skills and once again take control of the standards of Wheelwrighting that they cherish and strive to maintain.

Steven Pearson

“The best moments were passing the Flight Instructor test, and then sending my first student on their very first solo.”
